Ashley and Andrew Manes founded the company seven years ago, and it has carried their initials ever since. What started as a husband-and-wife operation has grown into a full-service outdoor living company — but the way we work hasn't changed a bit.
Andrew brought the craft. A certified arborist with a deep background in every corner of landscaping and hardscaping, Andrew has spent his career learning how outdoor spaces actually work: how soil feeds a tree, how water moves across a yard, how stone and concrete hold their line season after season. Along the way he developed his own proprietary fertilizer blends — the kind of detail that separates a yard which merely looks finished from one that keeps thriving long after the crew drives away.
Ashley brought the business. With a track record of building successful companies in the medical field, Ashley knows what it takes to run an organization that's organized, accountable, and genuinely easy to deal with. Clear communication, careful scheduling, and a standard of care borrowed from an industry where getting the details right isn't optional.
Seven years later, that combination still defines us: real craftsmanship in the field, backed by a business that answers the phone.
Michael McDaniel recently partnered into the company, and he brought a third discipline with him: running the operation. Michael spent fifteen years in retail leadership, most of it as a general manager taking underperforming businesses and rebuilding them into profitable ones — full responsibility for the P&L, the teams, and the customer experience. What he became known for was fixing the unglamorous thing that quietly costs a business the most: slow responses and follow-up that slips through the cracks. He's also the founder of Pact Digital Solutions, a Texas firm serving automotive and home-services companies. Based just up the road in Royse City, Michael joined Ashley and Andrew to help A&A grow across both markets — and to make sure that as we get bigger, your call still gets returned.
